On Sunday,  20 or so brave souls tackled 40 miles of tough terrain and battled some rather unpleasant weather, and were otherwise undeterred in their resolve to complete some of the most difficult sections of the FARM ride route.  The days top 3 riders were; Pete McCorison, Jule and Andrew Bouchard.  Julie Chasse Bouchard is Mike’s little sister and it was only her 3rd time on a road bike, not only did she manage the full 40 miles but she conquered every hill she encountered including the 19% grade of “le Vieux Chemin”.  Kudos to all and special thanks to Bob Michaud, John and Luke Rossignol,  Kellie Michaud (Quinn and Reed) for the excellent support throughout the ride.  We are also appreciative of Rapha for their kind gift musette bag and also Tom Chasse at Bike Board and Ski in Presque Isle, Maine. Our hosts, Lucy Morin and Richard Moreau were simply awesome, their property was perfect right down to the fire that helped keep us warm and the home made carrot cake was delicious.   Perhaps the best part of the entire day was having my good friend Mike Chasse join us for this Fresh Trails Adventure, it’s been a long time coming and let’s do it again soon!!
