Fresh Trails Adventures invites you to join us for a one day, 32 mile/50 km or 54 mile/80km annual bike randonnée on the backroads of Maine, New Brunswick and Quebec. Come together to share, celebrate and experience the Acadia of the new world on two wheels. This cycling tour is sure to revive your sense of adventure and culture.

Tour de L’Acadie. Welcome to the Acadia of the World!

The University of Maine at Fort Kent, 8:00 am departure (EST) for the long distance and 10:00 am for the beginner and intermediate route, serves as registration headquarters, breakfast and the backdrop for your journey’s departure. Meander through sparsely populated towns and villages along lakes and hilly gravel roads. Not a race, but a ride amongst fellow companions, bicycle through farmland, maple tree stands and undulating hills with some of the most picturesque scenery this region has to offer.

32 mile/50 km Tour: fully paved and relatively flat route.  Check-in/Register 9;00-10:00 am, breakfast and begin ride at 10:00 am (eastern time), Pedal north on US route 1 turning R on International bridge into Clair, NB then turn R onto route 205 (Main street) toward Lac Baker turning L on route 120 for a short while then turning R onto rue d’Eglise by St. Thomas Aquainas catholic church at Baker lake and ride on north shore of lake to Romain Carron covered bridge (rest stop 1),  From the bridge head south toward Lac Unique on route 215 into St. Francois and back to Clair before crossing back to Fort Kent.

54 Mile/80 km Tour: Advance Ride.  Check-in/Register 7:00 – 8:00 am Eastern Time, Ride departs at 8:00 am.  Fort Kent to Baker lake to Romain Carron covered bridge(rest stop)then head up asphalt road to St. Jean de la Lande, turning left onto hard packed gravel road for 11 km to Packington, follow signs to Packington community center for 2nd rest stop then down toward Jerry lake toward Romain Carron bridge then back to Baker lake via route 120 on south shore before turning R onto rue de Belle Vue where you will tackle a difficult gravel climb, “monte de Belle Vue”, then a nice 3-4 mile descent into Clair, NB via Ave. des Erables. Crossing the bridge into Fort Kent.
